If I as a user configure a box, I usually do not want to see the
millions of knobs that exists in the box which I have never touched
and are mostly irrelevant, especially for things like e.g. interfaces
that not configured by me. As someone who has to configure boxes once
in a while, I do agree with Phil's plea to keep the configuration
really down to the minimum that I have really configured and to
exclude noise about all the things I could potentially configure as
much as possible.
