HI. I'm in a bind. I recently purchased Adam C. Engst's Internet starter
kit for the Mac. I have an original LC w/4Mb of RAM + a Maxtor 200 Meg.
internal hard drive. I have a Supra fax/modem v.32 bis 14,400K. When
setting up Interslip, my modem says I'm connected, my machine says I'm
connected, but if I call my network administrator (on another line,
obviously) they say I am NOT connected. Furthermore, I cannot use my
e-mail, FTP, or newsreader programs. I called the network administrator
regarding this problem, and was informed that I need a modified modem
init. string or a different gateway string. Can You help?
