We have a small AppleTalk network of two LCIII and one Performa 475, all with 12MB RAM and running 7.1, and two HP Deskwriter 510. Our problem is that if several small files are send to the printers, occasionally background printing stops after the first couple of pages have been printed without giving any error message. The attempt to activate the printers via the choser results in: "printer not found". If the server (Performa 475) is restarted printing will not resume. Only if the server is switched off and on again will be any further printing possible. Hewlett and Packard maintain that this is an AppleTalk problem rather than a problem of their 4.0 printer driver (this is not the most recent driver version, but we had the same problem with the most recent version, too). This is obviously a very annoying problem and a solution is required badly. Many thanks in advance.
