Post-Doctoral Position at the confluence of Cybersecurity, Smart Grids, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things
A postdoctoral research associate position are available immediately in the Networks and Systems Laboratory (one position) headed by Dr. Satyajayant Misra (website: www.cs.nmsu.edu/~misra <http://www.cs.nmsu.edu/~misra>; Google Scholar Page: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=KJPGePAAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao <https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=KJPGePAAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao>) at the Computer Science department of New Mexico State University, USA. The position is funded by a National Science Foundation Smart Grid Research Center grant, an Intel-NSF grant on IoT and future Internet Architecture, and a DoE Smartgrid+ICN Cybersecurity grant. The postdoctoral research associate will work with experienced researchers in the area of computer networking and security, smart grid and power systems, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and with PhD, MS, and UG students.

The ideal candidate is expected to have a solid knowledge in networking protocols and paradigms, security and privacy, and system design in networking and security in general (in the smart grid, desirable), new techniques at the intersection of machine learning and networking. The research will pertain to networking architecture design using the information-centric networking paradigm  (ICN knowledge, a plus) for CPS and IoT networks and investigations in blockchains, edge computing, and latest privacy requirements, such as the European GDPR. Solid knowledge in programming in C++/Python and system programming is highly desirable.

Each candidate will also mentor a lab of 4-5 PhD and some MS and undergraduate students. The postdoctoral position is for 1 years with possibility of renewal.
