Not relevant. The whole point was simply that you need to be careful with use of terminology where people from the different application realms may read an acronym and think of different things. The fact that there are IP and non-IP links involved doesn't change that.
It doesn't really need any changes, just that people be aware of the acronyms already in use in the "other" application realm and be careful to make sure the meaning is clear.
