*** [Electronics] IF 1.764—Special Issue "RF Energy Harvesting and Wireless Power Transfer" ***

Dear Colleagues,
We are currently running a special issue named “RF Energy Harvesting and Wireless Power Transfer”, on open access journal Electronics (IF 1.764, ISSN 2079-9292). The submission deadline is 25 April 2020, and papers maybe submitted immediately or at any point until 25 April 2020, as papers will be published on an ongoing basis. For more information on this Special Issue and submission guidelines, please visit the following page: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/electronics/special_issues/rf_energy_harvest.

Kind regards,

Guest Editors

Dr. Antonino Masaracchia,

*** Special Issue Information ***
Advanced radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting (EH) and wireless power transfer (WPT) technologies are paving the way towards future wireless networks. WPT via RF radiation has emerged as a promising approach to energise low-power devices in circuit design. While traditional wireless networks were designed only for data communications, the future of wireless communications allows both data and energy transmission, i.e., simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT), using the same radio wave over the same wireless medium. Although EH and WPT have shown to be able to sustain the energy supply, enabling the development of numerous applications and services in various wireless network architectures, there are challenges in theoretical modeling, analyses and practical design that need to be addressed. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art technologies and theories of EH and WPT in practical wireless networks.

Electronics is fully open access. Manuscripts are peer-reviewed and a first decision provided to authors approximately 16.4 days after submission. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of CHF 1400CHF currently applies to all accepted papers. You may be entitled to a discount if you have previously received a discount code or if your institute is participating in the MDPI Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP), for more information see: http://www.mdpi.com/about/ioap.
