Thanks for your detailed note. The anecdote makes clear that end-user privacy and the ability to debug and sometimes protect our infrastructure, are at times in conflict.

Recall that a major concern of the minimization work is not for a single client/server interaction, but rather being able to track clients as they move around and talk to multiple servers.
