Regarding number of streams in multi-stream SDI interfaces where Ancillary data could be placed, Rec. ITU-R BT.2077-1 Table 3-1 “4320-line image formats” shows a maximum of 128 streams, so I will ensure the next draft of draft-ietf-payload-rtp-ancillary can handle that.  It is true that for some of these formats (such as 10G-HDSDI) only the first stream on a link “should” be used for Ancillary data, but it is too complex to try to simplify the representation, and it is different for various kinds of multi-stream interfaces.  So 7 bits will be used for this field.
