Subject: Minutes of Joint SNANAU WG / APPN MIBS SIG Meeting at AIW 13

The IETF SNA NAU Services MIB (snanau) WG and the AIW APPN MIBs SIG held
a joint meeting on March 26 at AIW 13, with Bob Moore serving as chair.
The following topics were discussed:

1. DLUR MIB: Reviewed and prepared responses to Randy Presuhn's
comments on the MIB. No technical changes related to Randy's
comments were identified. There were, however, two technical changes
unrelated to Randy's comments: introduction of two new objects in
the DLUR node capabilities table, corresponding to two new
capabilities that have been added to the DLUR architecture itself.
The AIW granted CP-as-amended status to the MIB, based on these
technical changes. A new Internet-Draft will be available shortly.

2. HPR MIB: Reviewed and prepared responses to Randy Presuhn's
comments on the MIB. Several technical changes related to Randy's
    comments were identified:

       - removal of the hprUpTime object
       - change the syntaxes of hprNceType and hprNceDefault from
         INTEGER to the BITS construct
       - clarify the role of the switchToPathSupported value of the
hprOperatorPathSwitchSupport object: to allow a managed
system to indicate that it supports an operator-triggered
path switch to a specified path *by means other than SNMP*.

The AIW granted CP-as-amended status to the MIB, based on these
technical changes. A new Internet-Draft will be available shortly.

3. EBN MIB: Reviewed comments from Katie Lee. These comments were
all clarifications / editorial fixes, with one exception: a new
table was proposed to allow a HPR Border Node to correctly
represent the case where two RTP connections abut "back-to-back"
in the HPR Border Node. The AIW granted AP status to the MIB,
based both on this technical change and on the clarifications /
editorial items. A new AP-level version will be available to the
AIW shortly. It was decided that no Internet-Draft will be issued
until the Border Node architecture itself gets AP-as-amended
status in the AIW. Currently this status change is targeted to
    take place in June.

4. MLTG impacts to the APPN MIB were discussed, and agreement was
reached concerning how to handle them.

5. Charters: agreement was reached on updates to both the AIW
APPN MIBs SIG charter and the IETF SNA NAU Services MIB WG charter.
I will make these updates shortly.
