Nowadays, when we travel in APAC, we only use whatsapp, Line or Skype for VOIP. No more phone call. In some case, text message instead.

At least for it cost me $4+$1(fed fee)/minute to call the Fairmont Singapore. A truly astounding rip-off.

If I got a SIM card, wouldn't it then cost me $5/minute for my wife back in the US to call the number that SIM card provided me? If so I'll take $10/day vs $5/minute, and keep the US number. :)
