Welcome to IETF 116 in Yokohama!

Here are a few reminders about sessions happening today.

-New Participants’ Overview
Onsite and Remote
12:30 - 13:30 (G412-G413)
This session is a review of the New Participants’ Overview Presentation and provides new participants with information on how the IETF works, what to expect at a meeting and much more. This session will be available via Meetecho and will be linked from the agenda.

-Quick Connections
16:00 - 17:00 (G304)
New Participants’ Quick Connections is a simple and effective way for
you to be introduced to a variety of experienced IETF attendees — often
working group chairs — who can help you get more involved in your
areas of interest. To RSVP, please go to your attendee dashboard by using your unique confirmation number (https://registration.ietf.org/116/attendee-dashboard/YOURREGISTRATION#/). A direct link to your dashboard is also available in your confirmation email.

-Welcome Reception
17:00 - 20:00 (G1-G2)
This is an informal reception. It’s a chance to meet other attendees, make some connections, and chat about the upcoming week. This year there will be a number of demonstrations from WIDE members (https://ietf116.jp/demos/). Food and beverages will be provided.

-Hot RFC
Onsite and Remote
18:00 - 20:00 (G302)
This session is for lightning talks about new ideas, proposals, and research topics. This session will be available via Meetecho and will be linked from the agenda.

See the agenda for details:

Registration opens at 10:00 AM.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Thank you,

Michelle Cotton
New Participant Ambassador
