Hello!

This message is part of a series to bring you information about the IETF that will help you as a new participant.

Now that you are registered to attend IETF 126….for those attending onsite:

Have you booked your hotel?
https://www.ietf.org/meeting/126/hotel/

Do you have your entry documents to Vienna?
https://www.ietf.org/meeting/visas/

Transportation
There are many transportation options to get to the meeting venue.
Please review the IETF Community Wiki for helpful information: https://wiki.ietf.org/meeting/126

Dresscode
Something New Participants ask about is what to wear to the IETF meeting. You see a little of everything. Most important is that you want to be comfortable. You rarely see suits, you see lots of business casual. As we will be in a hotel with A/C, it is suggested that you bring layers. Sometimes a sweater is needed if it gets cool in the hotel meeting rooms. Check the weather forecast for Vienna closer to traveling.

Food and Beverage
During the meeting week there are beverage breaks, and an afternoon snack break, however meals are not provided at the meeting. There are many restaurants in the surrounding area. There will be a “Meet-Up Spot” for New Participants where you can meet fellow participants and make arrangements for meals together.

The IETF Community Wiki
https://wiki.ietf.org/meeting/126
In addition to transportation information, the wiki includes helpful hints about airports, money conversion, electrical outlets, dining and so much more!

Check out the mailing list archives for any messages that you may have missed prior to registering:
https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/126-newparticipants/

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. You can email to this list or email me directly. I’m here to help!
