IETF 126 Vienna
18-24 July 2026
Hosted by Cisco

Thank you for registering for the IETF 126 Vienna meeting, which starts in just a few days!
Whether you are planning to participate onsite or remotely, here is some information to help you get the most out of the meeting before it starts.

# New participants
If you are a new participant (generally anyone who has been to fewer than five meetings) and you have not received the new participant emails with details of information and events for new participants, please let us know at support@ietf.org

# IETF 126 agenda and side meetings
We recommend that you take another look at the IETF 126 agenda as there are always a few last-minute changes to IETF meeting schedules as sessions are finalized, including updates to individual session agendas.
https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/126/agenda

We also recommend that you check the side meeting agenda as that is regularly updated:
https://sidemeetings.ietf.org/

** If you are participating onsite, here are some additional tips before you arrive at the meeting venue: **

# IETF Network Details

## Meeting room Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi (802.11 a/g/n/ac/ax) is provided throughout the meeting venue on 2.4, 5, and 6GHz bands with IPv4 and IPv6. Most users should choose:

SSID: ietf
password: ietfietf
## Guest room and public space Wi-Fi
The ietf-hotel network requires a passphrase for access.
SSID: ietf-hotel
Password: ietfietf

The network is available in guest rooms and hotel common areas and provides both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity. The ietf-hotel network is provided by the IETF NOC in cooperation with the venue and relies on the hotel’s underlying infrastructure.
For more information and assistance, see:
https://www.ietf.org/meeting/technology/

# Bring refillable water bottles for hydration stations
As always, we encourage meeting participants to travel with refillable water bottles. The IETF 126 venue, Hilton Vienna Park, will offer water stations in all session rooms and break locations.

# Venue Capacity
Onsite attendance in Vienna for IETF 126 is expected to be high. Participants should be aware that some areas of the venue, particularly foyers and other common spaces used during breaks, may feel crowded during peak periods.
The IETF Meetings team has maximized the available space and optimized room layouts wherever possible. For example, the shared workspace usually in a dedicated room will be located in the hotel lobby. We appreciate everyone's flexibility and cooperation as we make the best use of the space available.

# Travel Library
A reminder that if you have a book that you would like to leave for another participant to read, please feel free to bring it to the Travel Library at the IETF Registration Desk.

# Check out the IETF 126 Wiki
Helpful information has been collected in the IETF 126 wiki, intended to aid participants with transport, dining, etc. Be sure to take advantage of all of the excellent recommendations and resources collected there, and of course add your own!
https://wiki.ietf.org/meeting/126

# Labdoo Laptop Collection
Labdoo invites participants to bring good working condition laptops that have been reset to factory settings to the event. These laptops will be reinstalled with a Linux-based operating system and loaded with 50GB to 200GB of educational content, including the entire Wikipedia offline, Khan Academy courses, copyleft books, and more.
Minimum Laptop Requirements:

2GB of RAM
The laptop must function well
Please do not forget to include the AC adapter
The drop off point will be available during the hours the IETF meeting registration desk is open starting Monday, 21 July. We strongly encourage you to completely wipe your laptop of all personal data and information.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Jordi Ros-Giralt jordi.ros@labdoo.org

We look forward to seeing you soon at IETF 126!
