And now for something completely different….

We are pleased to announce that Flexoptix & ECIX are sponsoring a fussball@IETF96 championship for attendees to enjoy in between IETF 96 working group sessions.

What is fussball? See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_football

You can sign up at the entrance to the Pavilion room starting Monday morning. The tournament kicks off Tuesday morning and concludes Thursday evening. The lucky winner gets their own fussball table, which can be delivered anywhere in Europe. Follow the results or signup online at https://ietf96.challonge.com/fussball.

How it works:

Teams are composed of two or more players. Please note that only the team captain needs to sign up. The matches are quick — only 10 minutes long. Teams will play in a round robin leading to an elimination stage. The Grand Final will take place on Thursday evening, and the victors will win a new fussball Table.

Intrigued but still unsure? Come visit the Pavilion room on Sunday and Monday to try out a game or two before the competition starts. Referees will be onsite to answer any questions you may have.
