Hello Everyone!

The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project will be showing some of their short films about Korean culture on Thursday, November 17th at 6pm prior to Bits-N-Bites. This will take place in Park Ballroom 1. Below are the descriptions of the short films that will be shown.

A Bronze Mirror: Breathtaking nanotechnology from 2,400 years ago – a palm-sized mirror with engravings of 13,000 parallel lines that are merely 0.3mm apart (8 minutes long)

Sarira Reliquary: The art of the invisible – its 0.3mm-wide decorations were probably invisible even to its maker from 1,300 years ago (12 minutes long)

Bell of Queen Seondeok: A bell heard by the mind and not ears – an unsurpassed example of art and science from 1,300 years ago (12 minutes long)

Korean Alphabet: the last alphabet to be created in history and the only alphabet invented by men where the linguistic theories and motivations are perfectly known (16 minutes long)
