Hi all, The IAB acts as representative of the interests of the IETF in technical liaison relationships with other SDOs as described at https://www.iab.org/role/liaison-coordination/ . The IAB Processes for Management of IETF Liaison Relationships were specified in RFC4052, and the Procedures for Handling Liaison Statements were specified in RFC4053. These documents were published in 2005 and did not accurately represent what we actually practice. We had produced updated drafts for these RFCs. These drafts were adopted by the IAB, and they received further valuable feedback from the IAB and the architecture-discuss list. Based on this we have produced updated versions of the drafts and they can be found here. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-iab-rfc4052bis-05 https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-iab-rfc4053bis-05 We believe that they are ready to gather feedback from the wider IETF community, and we will be holding a feedback session on Tuesday July 21 2026 between 1100-1230 Vienna time at the Park Suite 9 room. If you have any comments or want to learn more about these RFCs please drop by and talk to us. As always your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks Suresh, Mirja and Qin
