The IESG has approved the following document: - 'Automatic Peering for SIP Trunks' (draft-ietf-asap-sip-auto-peer-37.txt) as Proposed Standard This document is the product of the Automatic SIP trunking And Peering Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Andy Newton and Orie Steele. A URL of this Internet-Draft is: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-asap-sip-auto-peer/ Technical Summary This document specifies a framework that enables enterprise telephony Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) networks to solicit and obtain a capability set document from a SIP service provider. The capability set document encodes a set of characteristics that enable easy peering between enterprise and service provider SIP networks. Working Group Summary Consensus represents the concurrence of a few individuals, with others being silent. Document Quality There is no reported evidence of current or planned implementations. This document has previously been through IESG Evaluation, which resulted in substantial changes and another WGLC and LC. Personnel The Document Shepherd for this document is Marc Petit-Huguenin. The Responsible Area Director is Andy Newton.
