Hi,

Today, at the AVTCORE session, there was a discussion what/if should be said regarding keeping RTP and RTCP information consistent if modified by intermediaries. It was also discussed whether such things should be described in the AVTCORE topologies draft, or in the STRAW RTCP draft.

Below are links to the latest version of the STRAW RTCP draft, which currently contains the following text:

"As such, it is very important for a B2BUA modifying RTP-related information to also
modify the same information in RTCP packets as well, and in a
coherent way, so that not to confuse any of the peers involved in a
              communication."

So, perhaps this is something we could work on?

Below are the RTCP slides for the IETF#91 STRAW session (Wednesday afternoon session II):

http://www.ietf.org/proceedings/91/slides/slides-91-straw-3.pdf

Note that this issue is currently not in the slides, but we can of course discuss it during the STRAW session.

Regards,

Christer
(STRAW co-chair)
