The following errata report has been held for document update
for RFC8401, "Bit Index Explicit Replication (BIER) Support via IS-IS".

--------------------------------------
You may review the report below and at:
https://www.rfc-editor.org/errata/eid6418

--------------------------------------
Status: Held for Document Update
Type: Technical

Reported by: Les Ginsberg <ginsberg@cisco.com>
Date Reported: 2021-01-31
Held by: Alvaro Retana (IESG)

Section: 4.2

Original Text
-------------
o When the Prefix Attributes Flags sub-TLV [RFC7794] is present, the
N flag MUST be set and the R flag MUST NOT be set.

Corrected Text
--------------
o When the Prefix Attributes Flags sub-TLV [RFC7794] is present, the
      N flag MUST be set.

Notes
-----
Early versions of the draft did not support leaking of BIER advertisements. At that time the requirement that R-flag be clear made sense. Once leaking was allowed the prohibition against R-bit being set no longer makes sense and should be removed.
