Subject: [Bier] BIER in IPv6 Next Steps

Dear bier WG:


As all of you know, the discussions around the chartered "BIER in
IPv6" topic have gone on for quite some time.  Last week, a couple of
formal complaints related to the adoption call for
draft-zhang-bier-bierin6 were sent to the list [1] [2].

Concerns have also been raised (privately) related to my handling of
the situation.

I am sorry to see that we couldn't reach a consensus without the need
for complaints about the process and the people involved.

After discussing the other RTG ADs, I have decided to recuse myself
from this discussion.  Martin will lead addressing the complaint and
determining any necessary actions.
