Hi Boris,

Many thanks for advising and apologies for answering a bit late (we are having busy days at the IETF 118).

Would you be happy if we include your test extension (and maybe some of the results) in the draft(s) text?
If so, we would welcome you in the list of the co-authors.

Regards
Paolo, on behalf of the co-authors

Hi Paolo and Eduard,
I would like to let you know that I used the both drafts for SRv6 and SR-MPLS testing, particularly I used the following test cases methodology:
1) Throughput/performance for SR-MPLS Push, Next operations
2) Throughput/performance of SRv6 source and endpoint nodes. I made a slightly extension for SRv6 testing with End.DT and END.DX functions, plus uncompressed and compressed SRH scenarios.

Thanks.

SY,
Boris

Dear BM,

We have just uploaded the new versions of the drafts on SR-MPLS and SRv6 benchmarking.

SR-MPLS: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-vfv-bmwg-srmpls-bench-meth/

SRv6: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-vfv-bmwg-srv6-bench-meth/

Both drafts have been updated to:

  * Address the comments received at the past IETF, in particular Carsten’s request to explode some test descriptions to avoid too many references
  * Better clarify the test requirements (for example, the number of recommended labels/SIDs)
  * Fix some imprecisions we have found and remove text duplication.

We are available for any questions, comments or clarifications.

BR

Paolo
