iCal object hard code the two character \ followed by N in
their data as defended in 2445 so iCal data represented in xCal
does not need to worry about newlines embedded in property
or parameter values. Hard coded newlines and carriage returns
in iCal data are for line wrap only, they are not part of
the data and can be ignored, per 2445.

My XSLT -> iCal code DOES terminate each iCal line with \r\n
when it translates the code back to iCal format.

So yes, xCal does address the problem.
