Hello!

I’ve just been added to the list.

If anyone still has Kamakura on their list, I had a wonderful guide today.

Found her on Airbnb but you can contact her directly.

Very glad I didn’t attempt the visit on my own. Happy to share more details if anyone wishes.

Best,
Kristine

Hello everyone,
For those of you who are not planning to go to Kamakura, I wanted to let you know that my daughter and I and a couple of others will still be going to Ueno park tomorrow. This is also where the Tokyo National Museum is.

We plan to meet at 10 a.m. at Sakuragicho station, South exit/gate.

It takes about an hour to get there, but it is only one train.

I hope everyone has an amazing day in whatever you choose to do. (And a little less rain than today would be nice too!)

Take care,
Renee

Hi Renee,

Is it too late to join your trip to Ueno Park tomorrow? If not, I would love to join! Where would we meet and at what time? Are you planning to visit the Museum, too?

Thanks for arranging this!

Hello,
Our family visited Ueno Park and the Tokyo National Museum last week. We liked it so much that we would like to visit again. Maybe on Wednesday. Would others be interested in joining us?
We can take a train from Sakuragicho station and it goes straight to the park.
Thanks,
Renee

It's been a while since we've used the companions mail list but now that we are back to in-person meetings I want to encourage you all to use it liberally to organize activities. Do you want to plan a side trip to Kamakura and hoping for some company? Send a note to the list! (BTW, Kamakura is definitely worth a visit).

And, as you hopefully know, the Welcome Reception is this evening from 17:00 - 20:00 in G1-G2, on the first floor of the Pacific North convention center. You are invited to attend and there will be a "Companions Meetup" sign near the entrance doors if you want to meet up with some of your companions at the reception.

I hope you enjoy your week here in Yokohama!

(And, if you are not in Yokohama and no longer want to be on this email list for any reason, you can unsubscribe at https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/companions" rel="nofollow noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/companions).
