Dear Peter, Thanks for approving the work on the SID draft. It is indeed the generic work which follows a KISS rule - provide a ultra-light way of assigning ranges. This leaves the flexibility (and complexity) particular instances may wish to additional specification (e.g. be it the registry policy, or other).
