Dear authors and CORE WG, I am co-author of draft-yang-library-augmentdeby, in which we have introduce the augmentation dependency(the list name is augmentedby) as an element provided by YANG library. Here is the link to draft * https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-netconf-yang-library-augmentedby/01/ I read about the draft-ietf-core-yang-library describing the constrained version of YANG library, which mainly differs from the ietf-yang-library in terms of the reference and their type definition. In draft-yang-library-augmentdeby, we are stressing the use case of YANG application(more specifically, YANG-Push) and Data Catalog where having accessible entire YANG reverse dependency provided in YANG library will be of great help. * In the YANG application use case, having the augmentation and deviation can help application only getting the concerned module without having missing dependency (YANG-Push big picture: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-nmop-yang-message-broker-integration/) * In the Data Catalog use case, the full reverse dependency help build Data catalog metadata(YANG schema) for managing YANG data source Here are references to the augmentedby integration: * https://github.com/Zephyre777/draft-lincla-netconf-yang-library-augmentation * https://github.com/network-analytics/libyangpush/tree/feature/draft_augmentedby/docker_ietf120 We would like to know if applying the augmentation for core-yang-library and its use case will be of interest to the CORE WG? We will be onsite in Dublin in IETF121. We are happy to have live discussion regarding this. Regards, Zhuoyao Lin
