Hiya,

This is your (human originated:-) welcome to the COVID-19
Network Impacts workshop mailing list. We'll start with a
few bits of logistics.

Most of the submissions have been posted to [1]. Please
do read those ahead of the workshop. (They're not that
long and some are v. good I think.)

    [1]
https://www.iab.org/activities/workshops/covid-19-network-impacts-workshop-2020/

The programme committee chatted today and we figured
we'd go for 3 sessions, probably each of 2 hours duration,
each on a separate day of the week of Nov 9.

The sessions might start at 1400, 1500 or 1600 UTC.

We've created a poll to get information as to who
can make which of those session start times. Please
aim to fill that in before the end of this weekend.
(And sooner is better than later, so just do it now,
eh?)

A few notes before you go to the poll:

- All poll session start times are in UTC.
- The sessions will be two hours long.
- Check yes/no/maybe for all that suit you.

The poll is at [2].

    [2] https://dudle.inf.tu-dresden.de/covidimpactssessions/

The 3 sessions would be roughly:

1. Observations/measurements
2. Operational issues
3. Future/architecture/topics-not-covered

The PC will arm-twist someone (or two) to lead each
session. That's underway.

Mirja has already started asking people to send a few
slides that could be selected from by session leaders
as intro material.

Papers don't have to "fit" exactly one session - some
address aspects of >1 session. That's ok - we'd like
people to attend as many sessions as they can and not
just one.

We won't have a straight "present your stuff" agenda,
but will rather try have discussion in each session.

If there are people with additional material relating
to your submission (e.g. those who already have a
video from IMC or similar), then please to post links
to those to the workshop list so people can look at 'em
ahead of time. (Another attempt to avoid a "present my
paper" workshop:-)

We'd be happy to see discussion of the agenda and the
various submissions on this list prior to the workshop.

Cheers,
Stephen (for the PC).
