Hi WG,

This version 07 of draft-deadline mainly includes the following updates:

1. Add more co-authors who are interested in this document.
2. Recommend options (3 or 4) that are more suitable for large-scaling requirements.
3. Give the relationship between D (planned residence time) and d (delay level), as well as SBI (service burst interval) and d.
4. Supplement the on-time scheduling mode, and the corresponding schedulability considerations.
5. Give alternet QAR (queue allocation rule) for RPQ.
6. Complete the enqueue rule and dequeue rule for each option.
7. Update the evaluation table.
8. Supplement security considerations.

We hope to receive your reviews and comments, and also hope that considering EDF mechanism in IP/MPLS networks is the right direction.

Regards,
PSF (on behalf of co-authors)

Subject: New Version Notification for draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding-07.txt

A new version of Internet-Draft
draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding-07.txt has been successfully
submitted by Shaofu Peng and posted to the
IETF repository.

Name: draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding
Revision: 07
Title: Deadline Based Deterministic Forwarding
Date: 2023-10-18
Group: Individual Submission
Pages: 45
URL: https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding-07.txt

Diff: https://author-tools.ietf.org/iddiff?url2=draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding-07

Abstract:

This document describes a deterministic forwarding mechanism to IP/
MPLS network, as well as corresponding resource reservation,
admission control, policing, etc, to provide guaranteed latency.
Especially, latency compensation with core stateless is discussed to
replace reshaping to be suitable for Diff-Serv architecture
   [RFC2475].
