Hi all,

Thanks a lot for joining the discussion of yesterday. Here are some simple summary:
1. [Cooperation online] Create a list to clarify how many and which solutions are on the table for enhanced DetNet and snyc with the WG ML. (WG wiki/github)
2. [Cooperation online] Open a certain time of discussion window for requirement discussion, and work together online, and snyc with the WG ML.(github/WG wiki)
3. [Call Meeting] People think it requests more work to understand solutions from each other and deep dive in the arranged call meeting will be very helpful.
4. In addition to requirements addition revision (result goes into requirements draft), we also need to come up with an agreed-upon (by WG) set of evaluation criteria for guiding choices among overlapping solutions.

Please feel free to add/remove/modify it and discuss through the Mailing List.

Hi Lou,

As previous ML discussion, the time slot 15:30-17:00 has confliction with CATS, so we have updated the information in Wiki...
But I just notice that G301 seems not available 08:30-10:00 tomorrow morning although there is no other side meeting then. Maybe we could consider to discuss in some other room before morning session I in order to avoid confliction with ccamp?

Xuesong
What was the reason for me meeting change (note it now conflicts with ccamp), perhaps to accommodate remote participation?

Thanks
Lou

Hi,

I could not find calendar entry for the side meeting at https://wiki.ietf.org/meeting/116/sidemeetings.
As far as I see, G301 is booked 15:30-17:00 (I guess JST).
So, I've booked a WebEx meeting accordingly; see below.
Let me know if any changes are needed.

Regards,
Janos

Hi Lou,

Thanks for your feedback. Yeah I think the intention here is just to make it as some simple and relaxed meet up during IETF 116. Still do you have any suggestion about the topic that could be discussed then?

Hi Xuesong

Thanks for initiating this. One process point - this is not an "official" WG meeting - That happens as part of the main meeting!

This is an informal meetup of those interesting in working on solutions to the enhanced dataplane requirements document - to take advantage of many of those individuals being in person at IETF 116. I think it would be great for there to be remote participation, but I don't see this as a strict requirement for this informal meeting to be useful. Clearly we want to have all who want to participate who can, but good discussion can still occur even with a more limited group.

Wider discussion can and should occur on the WG list. Keeping in mind that, and as always, WG decisions and consensus take place on the WG list.
Thanks for taking the lead on setting this up!

Hi WG,

As discussed in the interim, we plan to have an official side meeting in Yokohama. Considering the DetNet is in Thursday Session I, I have signed a side meeting on 15:30-17:00 29th March (Wednesday session III) in wiki page (https://wiki.ietf.org/e/en/meeting/116/sidemeetings ) with the name of "Latency Guarantee in Deterministic Networking". Please check whether the time slot and the meeting name looks suitable to you.

Also, I notice that there are some interesting discussions in our interim about whether DetNet will persue 100% bounded latency guarantee and it seems that people tend to think the answer will be no. So I think this may bring a lot of other existing IETF work into our view. So shall we invite people from other WG to introduce the related work and discuss their understanding of DetNet, for example: network slicing, L4S, etc. I think that will also be very helpful for our further work.

BTW, it will be very helpful if chairs could help set up a call meeting if people think the
