Hi WG,

The version 08 mainly contains the following updates:

1) Add more descriptions to clarify the process of the mechanism according to the discussion in maillist, e.g, ideal/actual arrival constraint function of schedulability condition, latency compensation based scheduling under burst accumulation, with the related consensus reached.
2) Supplement figure for each option for easy understanding.
3) Describe two implementation methods for on-time scheduling to absorb E, and the related delay analysis.
4) Supplement common toplogy & service TSpec/RSpec based examples.

Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

Regards,
PSF (on behalf of co-authors)

Subject: New Version Notification for draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding-08.txt

A new version of Internet-Draft
draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding-08.txt has been successfully
submitted by Shaofu Peng and posted to the
IETF repository.

Name: draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding
Revision: 08
Title: Deadline Based Deterministic Forwarding
Date: 2023-12-15
Group: Individual Submission
Pages: 54

Diff: https://author-tools.ietf.org/iddiff?url2=draft-peng-detnet-deadline-based-forwarding-08

Abstract:

This document describes a deterministic forwarding mechanism to IP/
MPLS network, as well as corresponding resource reservation,
admission control, policing, etc, to provide guaranteed latency.
Especially, latency compensation with core stateless is discussed to
replace reshaping to be suitable for Diff-Serv architecture
   [RFC2475].
