A brief question for the larger DHCP community.

We are attempting to utilize the class-id field to filter DHCP offers
and have run up against a potential conflict when running in a mixed
environment including an NT DHCP server.

It appears that the NT server is responding to the lease request and:

1/ Not including a class-id in the lease offer

or

2/ Reflecting back the requestor's class-id in the lease offer (even
though no such class-id definition existed on the NT server).

Can anyone confirm or deny either of these behaviors?

Thanks in advance,

Scot
