Hi:

Adding references to potentially two RFCs that were discussed at the IETF-117’s DHC working group session, following recent discussions on the DHC mailing list with respect to customer edge routers (CER), are:

- RFC 9096 (BCP) - Improving the Reaction of Customer Edge Routers to IPv6 Renumbering Events — Updates RFC 7084 (which is Informational)
- RFC 8978 (Informational) - Reaction of IPv6 Stateless Address Autoconfiguration (SLAAC) to Flash-Renmbering Events

In looking at these more closely, I think it makes good sense to add (informative) reference to 9096 as it updates 7084 which is already an informative reference and as 9096 updates it (and was published after 8415). Basically, reference both 7084 and 9096 in sections 1, 6.3, and 6.4.

I don’t think referencing 8978 is worth it - it also reads more as suggestions / work in progress. And the key suggestion for CERs are already covered in 9096 (WPD-9, L-15 & L-16).

Thanks.
