The IESG has received a request from the Dynamic Host Configuration WG (dhc) to consider the following document: - 'Client Link-layer Address Option in DHCPv6' <draft-ietf-dhc-dhcpv6-client-link-layer-addr-opt-04.txt> as Proposed Standard The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2013-02-18. Exceptionally, comments may be sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting. Abstract This document specifies the format and mechanism that is to be used for encoding client link-layer address in DHCPv6 Relay-Forward messages by defining a new DHCPv6 Client Link-layer Address option.
