Hi all, I suggest that we start from these 2 as Nigel already has some proposal. Independent of being bis or not, we can start from modelling options and reviews. Best Regards, Olga -----Original Message----- From: Olga Havel Sent: Wednesday 8 November 2023 17:28 To: 'digitalmap-yang@ietf.org' <digitalmap-yang@ietf.org> Cc: 'Rob Wilton (rwilton)' <rwilton@cisco.com> Subject: RE: [Digitalmap-yang] Digital Map modeling side meeting Dear all, The following is the current list of the RFC8345 limitations that we identified during the PoC. 1. Bidirectional links 2. Multi-point connectivity (hub and spoke, full mesh, complex) 3. Links between domains/networks 4. Networks part of other networks 5. Nodes, TPs and Links in multiple networks 6. We need additional supporting relationships (TP->Node, Node->Network) 7. Relationship Properties 8. Termination Point Roles 9. Layers / Sublayers 10. Tunnels and Paths. Further analysis for RFC8345 versus RFC8795 Subset of these were confirmed by multiple operators. Please let me know if we are missing any or if you need me to further clarify some of them. Rob asked at the OPSAWG meeting if we are proposing RFC8345bis or augmentations? Nigel added some proposals for items 1 and 2 in https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-davis-opsawg-some-refinements-to-rfc8345/. My preference would be to go with bis, but I have not been in IETF long enough to understand all the challenges of doing it for a RFC as important as RFC8345 - that currently has ~60 augmentations. So I would appreciate if you can share your opinions here.
