Dear WG,

Rob and myself are still working on the minutes, which have already been
delivered by our scribe. To exploit the impetus felt during the meeting in
Vancouver, we'd like to ask the WG for support for this proposal that was
presented "in the room":

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The dnsop wg will consider new work items if at least N individuals commit
to review documents before WG Last Call (including revisions). Names of
the reviewers will be known to wg chairs and document authors. Document
authors are encouraged to solicit additional review.
Review includes reading, submitting comments and participation in subsequent
discussion.

No new work items will be accepted until before the IETF65 -00 cutoff.
Exceptions to this rule need an even stronger commitment and must not
conflict with cleanup work on the draft queue.
The moratorium will be extended should the list of open items not be
cleared by the above date.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q/A: Will other discussion be allowed on the wg's mailing list?
Discussion that falls into the charter is welcome on the list.
The wg, however, commits itself to focus on the "draft du jour".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To clean up the queue there will be periods of two or three weeks dedicated
to a particular draft as outlined below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

2005-Dec-04	Get WG consensus on the timeline and the criteria

2005-Dec-05	draft-ietf-dnsop-serverid
  2005-Dec-18

2005-Dec-19	draft-ietf-dnsop-respsize
  2006-Jan-08

2006-Jan-09	draft-huston-6to4-reverse-dns
  2006-Jan-22

2006-Jan-23	draft-ietf-dnsop-inaddr-required
  2006-Feb-13

2006-Mar-19	IETF 65
  2006-Mar-24

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our suggestion for $N is five persons.

If anyone has strong feelings regarding this proposal please speak up ASAP.
Please also identify yourself to the chairs and authors (or the WG at your
choice) if you are willing to review one or more of the above drafts.
