Dear colleagues,

ICANN’s Office of the CTO is pleased to announce that the fourth ICANN DNS Symposium (IDS 2021) will be held 25-27 May 2021. This year's event will be virtual.

The theme for IDS 2021 is: "DNS ecosystem security: we're all in this together". As the DNS protocol and its ecosystem have matured, the risk tradeoffs and threat landscape have evolved with it. IDS 2021 will focus on measurements and mitigation measures driven by excellent community work.

We are looking for presentations that would be of interest to Internet service providers, application developers, and those with registrar, registry, registrant, and user perspectives. We are also interested in presentations that focus on changes in technology, protocols and operations, and the effects those changes have on the DNS for good or ill.

We are soliciting presentation proposals for topics of interest to these communities. Please send a one-paragraph description of your proposed topic to ids-proposals@icann.org<mailto:ids-proposals@icann.org> by Friday, 7 May 2021. We will publish a preliminary agenda by 14 May 2021.

For more information please visit https://www.icann.org/ids.

Thank you and we hope you will join us.

Matt Larson
VP of Research
ICANN Office of the CTO
