Hi,

A new -12 version was published on Monday.

I believe the only significant change in the -12 version, which we’ll discuss briefly in Prague, is the inclusion of the option for a client to speak first to its recursive resolver to request Push notifications.

Otherwise the draft is with Tim Wicinski for his shepherd’s report before it’s sent to the IESG.

The relevant text is in 6.1:

The client begins by opening a DNS Session to its normal configured
DNS recursive resolver and requesting a Push Notification
subscription. If this is successful, then the recursive resolver
will make appropriate Push Notification subscriptions on the client's
behalf, and the client will recieve appropriate results. If the
recursive resolver does not support Push Notification subscriptions,
then it will return an error code, and the client should proceed to
discover the appropriate server to talk to directly.

(see https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-dnssd-push-12)

There was also an update to the DNS Session Signalling draft, which I believe will now go to WGLC in the DNSOP WG (see https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-dnsop-session-signal-03).
