All, This version of the UDPCLv2 spec makes three additions to the document: 1. It adds a terminology definition for "transport parameters" as seen by each local CLA, which can (and for multicast must) bind a UDP conversation to a specific interface. I think this notion applies equally as well to how BTPUoE [1] will operate, so feel free to steal this terminology if it helps. 2. Add a term and subsection under each of Sections 2 and 3 to explain the concept of "advertisement" consisting of existing extension items but coordinated by the transmitting entity and controlled by policy on each side. 3. Add a full "Operational Considerations" section with a subsection explaining why and how each of the protocol's capabilities can be used. This is separate from the Section 2 explanation and Section 3 technical definition of each mechanism. Each of these is meant to address questions raised during the last IETF and on the mailing list, making the document more stand-alone and self-explanatory. This version does not make any changes to the mechanisms themselves, which have all been stable and have had at least some trial implementation. As always, more refining feedback is welcome. Brian S.
