Erik, I think this content addresses my earlier comments. The material in Section 5.2 is quite core to an implementation’s bookkeeping and interoperability, so might fit better under Section 2, but the statements are all there and are consistent. That kind of thing is just editing and I support adopting this doc as needed alongside the BTP-U draft. Another operational consideration specific to Ethernet, which is already accounted for in BTP-U itself, is frame reordering by middleboxes. It could be useful to mention that it can happen and will not cause problems with compliant receivers. Brian S. From: Erik Kline <ek.ietf@gmail.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 10, 2026 9:12 PM To: DTN WG <dtn@ietf.org> Subject: [EXT] [dtn] draft-ek-dtn-ethernet-03 All, I have prepared a -03 [REPO] that I will push as soon as the window opens. This revision incorporates the feedback on the mailing list that I was tracking (or it tries to, anyway). See [HTML] for the nicely rendered version. I have uploaded some candidate slides as well, but they're basically the same as last time. They end with asking if there's anything remaining before a call for adoption. Hopefully this revision is much more concise, and suitable for progressing. Thanks, -Erik [REPO] https://github.com/ekline/draft-dtn-ethernet/tree/draft-ek-dtn-ethernet-03 [HTML] https://ekline.github.io/draft-dtn-ethernet/draft-ek-dtn-ethernet.html
