I thought the outreach activities that took place during IETF 115, both the “IETF capacity building for public policymakers” with ISoc and the UK’s DCMS side meeting and the “Connecting Internet protocols and standards with policy” meeting hosted by Article 19 and CDT on 10/11/22.

For full transparency, the LLC will be holding a small, invite-only fundraising outreach event during IETF 116, which will be quite different from both of the events mentioned above. There may some policy people at this event as policy organisations are an important source of funding in the not-for-profit world, but the message to them will very clearly be "this is how the IETF works, if this aligns with your policy aims then please consider funding us" and not "this is an opportunity for you to use funding to affect the way the IETF works to meet your policy aims".

cheers
Jay
