Hi All,

This email starts a call for adoption for work on a bis for RFC6855, as discussed at IETF119, to align handling of UTF8 emails via IMAP. - with a starting point being https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-gulbrandsen-6855bis/

As discussed at IETF119, we believe this is within our charter as RFC6855 is an extension to RFC3501 and we are responsible for extensions to RFC3501.

Please reply to this email with messages either in support of or against adopting this work *by Thursday April 4th, 2024*. The chairs would like to see at least a couple of in favour, so don't just assume somebody else will do it!

Thanks,

Bron.
