Subject: RFC 1042??

Hello,

I've had this burning question in the back of my mind for quite some time
now and although this does not DIRECTLY relate to IP over FDDI, I'm going
to ask it anyway. (Since I'd be willing to bet that many of you are also
wondering the same thing). Does anyone (or WILL anyone) implement RFC1042
for 802.3?? If so, what benefits do you perceive for this frame formatting
over standard ethernet frame formatting, and what interoperability or
performance issues do you perceive for non-implementors? Thanks,

Fred L. Templin
