Hi Robert and WG, I support the adoption of this draft. It defines standardized hierarchical YANG models to collect real-time energy data of all network devices for unified green power monitoring. It enables multi-vendor device interoperability and can cut network OPEX via refined power control. Best Regards Yisong ----邮件原文---- From: "Robert Wilton via Datatracker" <noreply@ietf.org> Date: 2026-06-02 20:52:55 To: green@ietf.org,green-chairs@ietf.org,draft-bcmj-green-power-and-energy-yang@ietf.org Subject: [Green] Call for adoption: draft-bcmj-green-power-and-energy-yang-07 (Ends 2026-06-16) This message starts a green WG Call for Adoption of: draft-bcmj-green-power-and-energy-yang-07 This Working Group Call for Adoption ends on 2026-06-16 Abstract: This document defines the YANG data model for Power and Energy monitoring of devices within or connected to communication networks. Please reply to this message and indicate whether or not you support adoption of this Internet-Draft by the green WG. Comments to explain your preference are greatly appreciated. Please reply to all recipients of this message and include this message in your response. Authors, and WG participants in general, are reminded of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) disclosure obligations described in BCP 79 [2]. Appropriate IPR disclosures required for full conformance with the provisions of BCP 78 [1] and BCP 79 [2] must be filed, if you are aware of any. Sanctions available for application to violators of IETF IPR Policy can be found at [3]. Thank you. [1] https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/bcp78/ [2] https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/bcp79/ [3] https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc6701/ The IETF datatracker status page for this Internet-Draft is: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-bcmj-green-power-and-energy-yang/ There is also an HTML version available at: https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-bcmj-green-power-and-energy-yang-07.html A diff from the previous version is available at: https://author-tools.ietf.org/iddiff?url2=draft-bcmj-green-power-and-energy-yang-07 --- The WG chairs would like to highlight some addtional points to bear in mind during this adoption poll: 1. There is an IPR declaration declared against this draft, which can be found at: https://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/search/?submit=draft&id=draft-bcmj-green-power-and-energy-yang 2. The authors have been holding regular meetings and making good progress with the drafts. As Benoit has indicated in his email to the working group, this draft isn't complete, but the authors believe that this document serves a good base to work from and we would like the working group to evaluate the adoption poll in that regard. In particular, the authors believe that parallel work is needed to start work on the controller based models to ensure that these a complete coherent solution is reached, which will likely end up in a separate draft. Having reviews and adoption of the base device model draft (this adoption poll) would help illustrate some of level of working group consensus that the base device model is heading in the right direction. 3. Please noting that this draft does not yet address the issue raised by Tony Li in Shenzhen, https://github.com/ietf-wg-green/green-design-work/issues/38, addressing a potential relationship also mentioned in some routing area drafts Tony is author on. Whilst there has been some discussion, no consensus has yet emerged, so we thought it best to defer this issue until after the adoption poll.
