Hello Grow, grow-chairs,

Now that the tlv-ebit draft is part of the working group, we would like to continue the discussion for draft-cppy-grow-bmp-path-marking-tlv.

The draft proposes a TLV in BMP to mark the status of a path in the BGP process. That is, mark whether the path is best-path, a back-up, primary, invalid, etc.

We just released a new version, mainly with some edits and adding some status.

Chairs, could we pretty please have a 8 minutes slot for this draft in London?

Thanks,

Camilo Cardona

    Abstract:

The BGP Monitoring Protocol (BMP) provides an interface for obtaining

BGP Path information. BGP Path Information is conveyed within BMP

Route Monitoring (RM) messages. This document proposes an extension

to BMP to convey the status of a path after being processed by the

BGP process. This extension makes use of the TLV mechanims described

       in draft-ietf-grow-bmp-tlv [I-D.ietf-grow-bmp-tlv] and

       draft-ietf-grow-bmp-tlv-ebit [I-D.ietf-grow-bmp-tlv-ebit].
