Hi Robert-

Please see section 7.2 of draft-fuller-lisp-alt-02.txt, which is titled
"Sub-Address Family Identifier (SAFI) for LISP+ALT". It specifically covers
this issue and has been par of the LISP+ALT specification since the first
version of the Internet Draft.

For future reference, here is the current list of LISP documents:

- "core" specifications:
    draft-farinacci-lisp-08.txt
    draft-fuller-lisp-alt-02.txt
    draft-lewis-lisp-interworking-01.txt
    draft-farinacci-lisp-multicast-00.txt
    draft-meyer-lisp-eid-block-01.txt

- areas of further exploration:
    draft-mathy-lisp-dht-00.txt
    draft-iannone-openlisp-implementation-01.txt
    draft-brim-lisp-analysis-00.txt

- ideas that were considered and shelved:
    draft-meyer-lisp-cons-04.txt
    draft-lear-lisp-nerd-04.txt
    draft-curran-lisp-emacs-00.txt

Hope this helps.
