Hi All,

We have added a new SAVNET hackathon project for IETF 119: SAV Open Playground (SAVOP).

SAVOP Overview:
- Project Info
  - SAVOP is an open platform designed for the implementation and emulation of various source address validation (SAV) mechanisms
  - Code: https://github.com/SAV-Open-Playground/
  - Feel free to share your ideas at https://github.com/SAV-Open-Playground/savop/discussions
- Hackathon Plan
  - Implementation of a SAV information base (SIB): SIB consolidates SAV-related information from various sources, such as SAV-specific information, RIB, FIB, and RPKI ROA objects and ASPA objects.
  - Implementation of an operation module: The operation module is designed to facilitate emulations of SAV mechanisms through configurations. We have designed a configuration template.
  - Emulation of SAV mechanisms based on SAVOP across distributed machines.

For the terminologies like SAV information base and SAV-related information, you can refer to Section 2 of the intra-domain and inter-domain SAVNET architecture drafts [1, 2].

Welcome to join us. You can add yourself as a project member on the IETF 119 hackathon wiki page [3]. Also, if anyone has thoughts, feedback, or questions, please feel free to reach out to us!

Best,
Libin
