Hello,

The origin of this draft is actually a project I'm working on. I
wanted a well defined document describing the method I am using to
address a bunch of nodes, and I figured this might be an interesting
way to do that.

It doesn't seem many people are working with IPv6 over the air at the
moment since AMPRNet still has plenty of space left, but my hope is
that by pushing v6 through my own projects, something might catch on
enough to change that. For now though, this is just a personal
endeavour. My plans for progressing this are mainly just to see where
this process takes me. Hopefully the idea can catch the interest of
others (like yourself) who can provide input.

I did think about generalizing this, and while it's a good idea, I
don't think I have the knowledge in other areas of identifier
registration and use (car VINs, plane callsigns, etc..) required to
actually design an addressing method for them.

Thanks for the questions, you now have gotten my mind on other generalisations.
