Greetings HIPsters!

There are some of us working with HIP for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

Stuart W. Card and Adam Wiethuechter have done PoC of HIP for the
Command and Control (C2).  The UA starts off on the airport's WiFi. As
it departs, it switches to a cellular connection.  On return, it
switches back to the WiFi for landing.

But the times for mobility are not great.  Many other protocols have
'moved forward' to take a risk on potential DoS attacks to get working
on the new address quicker.

I have revived this earlier effort to do a fast mobility for HIP.

I am looking for reviewers and implementors.  We would pursue an
Independent stream submission rather than rechartering.  Though there
are a number of changes to HIP desired to best support UAS: This draft,
diet-esp support, and, around year's end, NIST's new Lightweight Crypto.

Bob
