Subject: RFC1514: hrNetworkIfIndex
The above object (defined in the hrNetworkTable) requires that the return value must match with a value of the ifIndex (defined in the ifTable of MIBII). If the ifTable is not implemented by the host resources MIB subagent, how can this value be derived? This situation is likely to happen if the agent is not a monolith and that different subagents implement different MIB (or set of MIBs). In general, a MIB points to other MIB(s) could cause this potential implementation problem. Please tell us if you have a good solution to this problem. Huy Truong truong_huy@tandem.com
