Hi Paul, I agree with Joe that this draft is not within the charter of opsawg. I also agree with Joe that NMRG is probably your best bet right now. You could look at the DMM WG, but that would be the closest you could get to. Cheers. > On Jul 12, 2025, at 7:56 AM, Mr. Jaehoon Paul Jeong <jaehoon.paul@gmail.com> wrote: > > Joe, > This draft is about the applicability of I2NSF to 5G networks. > An intent of a security policy in this draft is a high-level security policy > defined in I2NSF Consumer-Facung Interface YANG Data Model: > https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-i2nsf-consumer-facing-interface-dm/ <https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-i2nsf-consumer-facing-interface-dm/> > > This draft focuses on the engineering of I2NSF in 5G networks rather than > the research of IBN (Intent-Based Networking). > Thus, I believe this draft can be discussed in OPSAWG. > > If you recommend another WG rather than an RG to us, > it will be great. > > Thanks. > > Best Regards, > Paul > > 2025년 7월 12일 (토) 오후 4:36, Joe Clarke (jclarke) <jclarke@cisco.com <mailto:jclarke@cisco.com>>님이 작성: > Request received, Paul. However, I’m not sure opsawg is the correct spot for this as it doesn’t quite align to our new charter. While we are chartered to take on new operations and management work for concluded WGs and work that isn’t suitable for a new WG, the topics seemed more aligned to current and proposed work in NMRG (i.e., around IBN use cases and your own network management automation for 5G). I’m curious why you want to bring this work to opsawg? > > > > Joe > > > > From: Mr. Jaehoon Paul Jeong <jaehoon.paul@gmail.com <mailto:jaehoon.paul@gmail.com>> > Date: Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 10:23 > To: Joe Clarke (jclarke) <jclarke@cisco.com <mailto:jclarke@cisco.com>> > Cc: opsawg <opsawg@ietf.org <mailto:opsawg@ietf.org>>, i2nsf@ietf.org <mailto:i2nsf@ietf.org> <i2nsf@ietf.org <mailto:i2nsf@ietf.org>>, Prof. Younghan Kim <younghak@ssu.ac.kr <mailto:younghak@ssu.ac.kr>>, Yoseop Ahn <21ahn@naver.com <mailto:21ahn@naver.com>>, Mose Gu <rna0415@naver.com <mailto:rna0415@naver.com>>, Mr. Jaehoon Paul Jeong <jaehoon.paul@gmail.com <mailto:jaehoon.paul@gmail.com>> > Subject: Re: [OPSAWG]IETF 123 Draft Agenda > > Hi Joe, > > I would like to ask a time slot for my new draft > > about the edge-based security services in 5G networks using the I2NSF framework and interfaces: > > o An Integrated Security Service System for 5G Networks using an I2NSF Framework > -draft-ahn-opsawg-5g-security-i2nsf-framework-00 > > -https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ahn-opsawg-5g-security-i2nsf-framework-00 <https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ahn-opsawg-5g-security-i2nsf-framework-00> > This draft explores the applicability of I2NSF to integrated security services in UEs in 5G networks. > > > > Could you give me 5~10 minutes for this draft? > > > > Thanks. > > > > Best Regards, > > Paul > > =========================== > Mr. Jaehoon (Paul) Jeong > Professor > Department of Computer Science and Engineering > Sungkyunkwan University > Phone: +82-31-299-4957 > Email: pauljeong@skku.edu <mailto:pauljeong@skku.edu>, jaehoon.paul@gmail.com <mailto:jaehoon.paul@gmail.com> > URI: http://iotlab.skku.edu/people-jaehoon-jeong.php <http://iotlab.skku.edu/people-jaehoon-jeong.php> > > > > > 2025년 7월 10일 (목) 오후 4:01, Joe Clarke (jclarke) <jclarke=40cisco.com@dmarc.ietf.org <mailto:40cisco.com@dmarc.ietf.org>>님이 작성: > > The draft agenda is up at https://github.com/IETF-OPSAWG-WG/IETF-Meetings/blob/main/123/agenda.md <https://github.com/IETF-OPSAWG-WG/IETF-Meetings/blob/main/123/agenda.md>.
