Hi! Leslie,

I am sorry, but my various efforts in order to avoid an appeal 
against the charter's status-quo spirit and letter did not succeed so 
far. I think that the current draft definitly follows the Charter and 
as such puts the IETF technology in practical/operational jeopardy; 
if I only judge by the various innovative network achitectonic 
development tracks several have now engaged. Definitly those who 
wrote the charter did not consider the RFC 6852 was uncomplete but true.

I will therefore appeal the IESG concerning the charter by the end of 
next week (to give a chance to the VIM report made on the list to 
help avoiding a political and  technological dead lock in the coming 
months). Since the issue concerns an IETF possible fork between RFC 
3539 rough consensus with appeal, RFC 6852 multistakeholder broad 
consensus with comments, and IUse oriented stakeholders, I will 
probably have to pursue such an appeal upto ISOC, press and ITU.

This is for you to take this into consideration for the January 15, 
2015 deadline with a possible 60 days delay between each appeal on an 
matter of importance calling for groups thinking and comments.
